Medals and Trophies have arrived (update)
The medals and trophies are now in tauranga awaiting distribution at the tournament.
Medals are being made in China
The medals for the Budo South Open 2025 have come out of the oven. They need their lanyards attached, and then they are ready for shipping (flights) to New Zealand.
Poomsae:
Poomsae Seminar
- A Poomsae training seminar will be held on the Sunday following the tournament (13th April).
- The seminar will be held at Tauranga Boys’ College.
- The guest presenter is Master Diego Chiriff.
- The cost per participant is $50. It will start at 9am and finish around 2pm.

Kyorugi:
Daedo Electronic Scoring System and Sensor Socks:
- Cadets, Junior and Seniors, of either Grade 5-3, or Grade 2-1 or Black Belts will use Daedo electronic Hogus and Headgear (provided by the tournament organisers)
- It will be necessary that each competitor in the above divisions bring their own pair of Daedo Sensor socks
- Cadets, Junior and Seniors of Grade 8-6 (up to Green Belt) will use non-Electronic Hogus and Head-gear (provided by the participating athlete)
- All Minors (5 years to 11 years) will use non-Electronic Hogus and Head-gear (provided by the participating athlete).
