Dates
The dates for the Budo South Open 2024 are – April 13th and 14th.
Format
- Saturday 13th April – [Cadet, Junior, Open and Veteran] = Grades Keup 2-1 and Black Belts
- Poomsae – 9am to 11am
- Kyorugi – 12noon until Finish – extra matches can be arranged on the day
- Sunday 14tht April – All Minors (aged 5-11) and All Coloured Belts – Keup 8-3
- Poomsae – 9am to 11am
- Kyorugi – 12noon until Finish- extra matches can be arranged on the day
Details
- Two mats with warm up room
- 400 competitors maximum
- Preference will be given to Clubs on the following basis
- Clubs that attended in 2023, then
- Oceania based from outside New Zealand Clubs, then
- First come basis
Electronics – Daedo (Kyorugi)
- All matches on Saturday will be Daedo Hogus and Headgear
- All Matches on Sunday will be Corner Judge scoring
Electronics – TechScore (Poomsae)
- All competition will be electronic, server based, with scoring displayed
Medals
- Kyorugi: 1st – Gold, 2nd – Silver, Losing Semi finalists – Bronze (x2)
- Poomsae: 1st – Gold, 2nd – Silver, Losing finalists (3rd and 4th) – Bronze (x2)
